Brown Brothers Harriman is currently recruiting for a Head of Digital Asset Strategy to join their Strategic Planning Group within the Investor Services business. This role is charged to define our Digital Asset strategy, analyze market trends, create client insights, and prioritize long-term capabilities roadmap for potential digital asset product offerings. If you are successful in your application for this role, you will be primarily responsible for leading the evolution of our Digital Asset strategy and commercial model. You will also take a leading role in developing client messaging, thought leadership and marketing collateral that promotes our position as a premiere asset servicer.

Requirements

  • 20+ years of financial services experience; 10+ years of experience in product management/development with significant experience in digital asset related products
  • Proven executive level experience in launching innovative solutions in complex and highly regulated environments
  • Experience in supporting, developing and deep understanding of traditional investment products
  • Exceptional leadership, communication and high degree of analytical ability and problem-solving skills
  • Strategic thinker with strong commercial judgment and execution focus
  • Ability to lead horizontally across business and influence senior stakeholders

Responsibilities

  • Digital asset product strategy Lead the design and development of digital asset strategy; develop and track Key Performance Indicators related to the execution of strategy
  • Analyze market, client and industry trends to help recommend/prioritize BBH’s long-term product and technology capabilities roadmap with respect to digital assets, including but not limited to: cryptocurrency, non-cryptocurrency applications of Blockchain/DLT, digital asset tokenization, stablecoin/digital currencies, while being mindful of regulatory and compliance considerations
  • Identify, research and test practical use cases for digital asset services that align with BBH’s core product strategy, risk appetite, and compliance obligations
  • Manage joint client and industry pilots/initiatives from scoping to execution including opportunity definition, commercial feasibility, business case development, detailed design and execution
  • Identify and prioritize business cases in support of targeted research and development initiatives in order to evaluate the most promising and relevant use cases for emerging digital asset technology
  • Market engagement & education Create external presence in support of the BBH technology brand on the topic through active participation in leading blockchain/DLT forums and/or consortia
  • Lead/facilitate execution of digital initiatives across key business areas (Custody, Fund Services, Transfer Agency, ETF, Private Markets, Foreign Exchange, Treasury)
  • Provide on-going leadership and market analytics across Investor Services (Relationship Management, Service Delivery, Technology, Product, Sales and Marketing)
  • Build enterprise institutional knowledge across the firm about the expanding ecosystem, client drivers, technology, legal and regulatory
  • Organize, create and communicate digital asset priorities and insights in a concise and impactful manner to senior management and external stakeholders
