About The Position

The Head of Dermalogica procurement owns the end‑to‑end direct materials and sourcing strategy for Dermalogica, with full accountability for cost structure, margin performance, ingredient and packaging supply resilience, and innovation enablement. This role partners closely with R&D, Supply Chain, and central portfolio team to translate Dermalogica’s clinical grade positioning into competitive advantage, while ensuring speed‑to‑market and sustainable value creation for the brand.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, or related field.
  • 8+ years in procurement roles within beauty, luxury, or FMCG sectors, with expertise in skincare ingredients and packaging preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional projects with R&D and supply chain and drive adoption of best-practice procurement processes.
  • Exceptional business partnering and stakeholder management with senior brand leaders in matrixed environment.
  • Strategic thinking with the ability to translate brand ambition into sourcing execution and measurable commercial impact.
  • Deep RFx and negotiation capability (price, T&Cs, risk), with a governance mindset and executive presence.
  • Strong analytical and commercial acumen, synthesizing market trends, spend, supplier capability, and formulation dynamics.
  • Fluent in procurement and CLM tools; adept at digital reporting and decision transparency.
  • Clear communication and escalation handling with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
  • Working knowledge of procurement in New Product Development (NPD) and stage‑gate processes.

Responsibilities

  • Own the Dermalogica sourcing strategy, aligning brand growth priorities, innovation roadmaps, regulatory requirements, and margin targets into an integrated plan.
  • Lead cost and margin improvement initiatives across Dermalogica formulations and packaging, leveraging value engineering, alternate ingredient/pack development, supplier consolidation, etc.
  • First point of contact for escalated supplier issues and brand questions regarding procurement topics. Primary interface with Planning, R&D, Marketing, Quality and Portfolio Procurement.
  • Serve as the procurement voice in brand forums, translating commercial and market insights into clear brand impact and decision recommendations.
  • Drive supplier relationship management (QBRs, performance scorecards, innovation engagement, continuous improvement).
  • Maintain robust risk and contingency plans (dual sourcing, capacity reservations, alternates) for critical Dermalogica formulations and components in partnership with planning
  • Consolidate brand‑level spend and supplier data to identify trends and inform strategy; contribute to executive dashboards for savings, risk, and margin performance.
  • Promote effective use of digital procurement tools and process improvements; partner with central portfolio procurement and brand supply chain on change management and capability building.
