About The Position

ABOUT THE ROLE: Reporting to the Chief of Staff, the Head of Data & Analytics will own Jackpot’s end-to-end data ecosystem. You’ll architect and scale our data platform, build and mentor high-performing DS/DA/DE teams, own data governance and infrastructure, and partner cross-functionally to turn data into one of Jackpot’s strongest strategic advantages. This is a remote position with preference given to candidates in central or eastern time zones. WHAT YOU'LL DO: Set the vision and strategy for Data Analytics, Data Science, and Data Engineering. Lead a high-performing data organization, including coaching, and developing engineers, and analysts Own the data platform, including pipelines, warehousing, modeling, governance, observability, and reliability Create a world-class experimentation program, including statistical rigor, tools, design, and rollout frameworks Develop predictive and machine learning models that power personalization, fraud detection, forecasting, and user behavior prediction Partner cross-functionally with Product, Engineering, Marketing, Finance, Operations, and Compliance to drive strategy and decision-making Create dashboards and analytical tools to empower self-service and automate insights Own data governance and regulatory compliance, particularly in highly regulated lottery and gaming environments Own the data roadmap, tooling strategy, and org design, ensuring we balance speed with long-term scalability Champion data-driven decision-making and raise the data IQ across the company YOU IDEALLY HAVE: 10+ years of experience across Data Analytics, Data Science, and Data Engineering, with at least 3+ years leading multi-disciplinary data teams Proven experience owning and scaling a modern data stack (Snowflake/BigQuery, dbt, Airflow, Databricks, Fivetran, etc.) Strong technical proficiency in SQL and Python Experience building and maintaining production-level data pipelines and ML models Experience with A/B testing frameworks, causal inference, and experimentation platforms Demonstrated ability to translate sophisticated data concepts into clear, actionable insights Excellent communication, prioritization, and stakeholder-management skills IT'S A BONUS IF YOU HAVE: Background in gaming, lottery, fintech, or other regulated industries Experience with real-time data architectures (Kafka, Kinesis) Experience with consumer personalization systems, recommendation models, or lifecycle optimization Familiarity with MarTech and CDPs (Optimove, Braze, etc) Expertise in LTV modeling, and fraud/risk models Experience in high-growth consumer or tech startups ABOUT YOU: You work extremely well cross-functionally and are autonomous and proactive in your output You thrive under competing priorities and know how to structure your time and team You have grit, perseverance, and a founder mentality You are solutions-oriented, adaptable, and calm in ambiguity You embrace feedback and continuous learning - you’re not a finished product and don’t want to be One of Jackpot’s core values is Lifelong Learning. Requirements

10+ years of experience across Data Analytics, Data Science, and Data Engineering, with at least 3+ years leading multi-disciplinary data teams
Proven experience owning and scaling a modern data stack (Snowflake/BigQuery, dbt, Airflow, Databricks, Fivetran, etc.)
Strong technical proficiency in SQL and Python
Experience building and maintaining production-level data pipelines and ML models
Experience with A/B testing frameworks, causal inference, and experimentation platforms
Demonstrated ability to translate sophisticated data concepts into clear, actionable insights
Excellent communication, prioritization, and stakeholder-management skills

Nice To Haves

Background in gaming, lottery, fintech, or other regulated industries
Experience with real-time data architectures (Kafka, Kinesis)
Experience with consumer personalization systems, recommendation models, or lifecycle optimization
Familiarity with MarTech and CDPs (Optimove, Braze, etc)
Expertise in LTV modeling, and fraud/risk models
Experience in high-growth consumer or tech startups
