About The Position

We’re looking for a strategic, creative, and execution-oriented Director of Brand & Content Marketing to define how Assort shows up in the market and tell a cohesive, compelling story across every buyer touchpoint. This role will own Assort’s brand narrative, content strategy, and thought leadership—ensuring we are differentiated, credible, and memorable to healthcare executives, operators, and clinical leaders. Brand and content are critical leverage points for Assort’s growth: they power demand generation, accelerate sales cycles, elevate executive conversations, and position Assort as a category-defining company in healthcare AI. This is a 0 → 1 leadership role for someone who can build the strategy, create the systems, and scale a high-impact content engine that fuels pipeline and long-term brand equity. This role is highly cross-functional, partnering closely with Product Marketing, Demand Generation, Events & Field Marketing, Sales, and the Executive Team to ensure consistency, clarity, and impact across all go-to-market motions. This role reports to the VP of Marketing.

Requirements

  • 7–10+ years of experience in brand marketing, content marketing, or editorial leadership at a high-growth B2B SaaS company.
  • Proven experience building a brand and content function from the ground up (0 → 1) and scaling it over time.
  • Exceptional storytelling skills with the ability to translate complex products and ideas into clear, compelling narratives.
  • Strong strategic instincts paired with hands-on execution—you can set the vision and ship high-quality work.
  • Experience partnering closely with Demand Gen, Product Marketing, Sales, and executive stakeholders.
  • Strong editorial judgment and a high bar for quality across written, visual, and experiential content.
  • Comfort operating in ambiguity with a builder mentality and high ownership.

Responsibilities

  • Own Assort’s brand strategy and narrative
  • Define and translate Assort’s brand positioning, voice, and storytelling framework across all channels and audiences.
  • Ensure consistency and differentiation across website, campaigns, content, events, PR, and executive communications.
  • Build and scale a high-impact content engine
  • Own the end-to-end content strategy across the buyer journey, including thought leadership, blogs, white papers, reports, case studies, videos, and executive-level narratives.
  • Create content that directly supports demand generation, sales enablement, events, and product launches—balancing brand-building with pipeline impact.
  • Establish a repeatable, scalable content production process with clear prioritization and ROI.
  • Position Assort as a category leader
  • Develop a thought leadership and POV strategy that elevates Assort’s executives and differentiates us in healthcare, health IT, and AI conversations.
  • Partner with Events & Field Marketing to bring brand and content to life through conferences, executive forums, and Assort-hosted experiences.
  • Drive measurable GTM impact
  • Partner with Demand Generation to create content that drives engagement, conversion, and pipeline across paid, organic, and ABM programs.
  • Partner with Product Marketing to support launches, customer proof, and sales narratives with strong storytelling and creative assets.
  • Define and track success metrics for brand and content, including engagement, influence on pipeline, and sales adoption.
  • Build for scale
