About The Position

To organize and maintain a quality intercollegiate cross country and half marathon program. Analyzes performance and instructs college athletes in strategies and techniques to prepare them for athletic competition by performing the following duties.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree and 4 to 10 years experience and/or training.
4 years experience and/or training.
Ability to treat all persons with respect, dignity and justice, without discrimination based upon age, sex, race, color, religion, national origin, disability, veteran status, genetic information, sexual orientation or gender identity; ability to exercise the highest professional and ethical standards in the use of College time and resources and observe the stated policies and procedures of the College; ability to read, analyze and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports and legal documents; ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies or members of the business community; and, ability to effectively present information to various groups if necessary.

Responsibilities

To recruit quality student-athletes (weekly).
Organize conditioning/weight training workouts (weekly).
Organize intercollegiate competition schedules (annually).
Set practice schedules (daily).
Monitor student/athletics classroom performance (daily).
Budget planning (annually).
Evaluates players to determine need for individual or team improvement.
Coaches players individually or in groups, demonstrating effective sport techniques.
Oversees the daily practice of players to instruct them in areas of deficiency.
Develops practices and game strategies.
Adhere to all rules of the college and NJCAA.
Other duties as assigned
