About The Position

The Head Coach of Basketball is responsible for all aspects of coaching,
recruiting and administering of the varsity basketball program along with being
a relentless supporter of Lorain County Community College and its athletics
department. This player development-driven coach will be responsible for leading
the basketball program.  Collegiate recruiting experience is preferred but not
required for this position. The program will be conducted in compliance with
policies, procedures and regulations of the College, the Ohio Community College
Athletic Conference (OCCAC) and the National Junior College Athletic Association
(NJCAA). This is a part-time, 12-month position, reporting to the Athletic
Director.

• Developing and coaching student-athletes.
• Monitoring student-athlete academic performance.
• Commitment to academic integrity and student-athlete welfare.
• Developing and managing the program’s budget.
• Fund-raising to support the program’s operational budget.
• Hire, supervise, and develop assistant coaches.
