Bemidji State University (BSU) invites qualified applicants to join our team as the Women’s Basketball Head Coach. The BSU Intercollegiate Athletic Department sports programs are a member of Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference (NSIC), Central Collegiate Hockey Conference (CCHA), and Western Collegiate Hockey Association (WCHA). BSU sponsors the following NSIC sports teams: football, men and women’s basketball, women’s soccer, volleyball, women’s cross country, women’s indoor and outdoor track and field, softball, baseball, men and women’s golf, and women’s tennis as a member of the NCAA Division II. The men’s and women’s ice hockey teams are members of the NCAA Division I. The Athletic Department is fully committed to equity and diversity in our faculty and students. Responsibilities of the Women’s Basketball Head Coach include: The direction, supervision, and administration of the NCAA Division II women’s basketball program. The control, implementation, and oversight of the women’s basketball program budget, including all recruiting, equipment, travel, and program expenditures. The ongoing demonstrated commitment to adhering to all rules and regulations of the NCAA Division II and the NSIC. The recruitment of a diverse roster of student-athletes who can contribute academically, athletically, and socially to the Bemidji State University community. Providing high level coaching, mentorship, and support to student-athletes through the development of pre-season, in-season, and non-championship season practice and game plans, off-court academic monitoring, and personal and professional growth and development opportunities utilizing existing resources in the department and on campus. Implementing a full array of basketball camps, clinics, and lessons to supplement the basketball program, to extend recruiting opportunities, and to meet the needs of Northern Minnesota and the surrounding communities. Serving as an ambassador of the institution through positive community interactions, engagement in community service within the basketball program, and participation in required press and media-related activities to promote the program and Bemidji State University. Traveling extensively for the program, including recruitment, conference and non-conference competitions, and other program-specific needs, as determined by Head Coach and Director of Athletics. Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights and weekends. Salary Range: Depends on Qualifications
