About The Position

Mater Dei High School, a Catholic, co-educational, college preparatory high school, is seeking a Head Boys Water Polo Coach. The ideal candidate will have a demonstrated record of running a high-performance water polo program and be capable of conducting both high-level practices and practices for novice players. This position is for a fixed term, starting May 1, 2026, and ending June 30, 2027. The coach will need to perform all practice functions while sharing a 10-lane pool with the girls water polo program and the boys & girls swim teams. The head coach will be responsible for managing all levels of the boys' water polo program (Varsity, JV, Frosh/Soph, etc.) in alignment with the mission of Catholic education and the school's core principles of Honor, Glory, and Love. A full-time, 10-month Resident Campus Substitute position may also be available to qualified candidates.

Requirements

• Demonstrated record of running a high-performance water polo program
• Ability to run high level practices
• Ability to run a practice for novice water polo players
• NFHS Fundamentals of Coaching certification
• NFHS Sudden Cardiac Arrest certification
• NFHS Concussion in Sports certification
• NFHS Heat Illness Prevention certification
• CPR/First Aid/AED certification
