The Registered Nurse (RN) is an essential member of a multidisciplinary mental health treatment team, providing nursing services that support all members served by the team — no individual caseload assigned. The RN supports the team by: Overseeing the medication system and ensuring safe practices Providing nursing care, medication education, and clinical coordination Delivering services in both in-office and community-based (non-clinical) settings Applying strong working knowledge of psychiatric medications and nursing standards Supporting members who may require redirection or behavioral interventions Demonstrating thorough knowledge of medical and behavioral health terminology, disease processes, recovery principles, and treatment interventions Observing, documenting, and communicating member progress clearly Collaborating closely with team members — teamwork is a core job requirement Assisting with coverage during staff absences and maintaining open, honest communication with the team Travel varies based on daily schedule All travel occurs within the community where members live and work
