At CHS, we are creating connections to empower agriculture.SummaryCHS is hiring a Hazmat Driver to join our team in Chinook! This individaul will be hauling fuel and/or propane to local customers in the area. The average schedule will be Monday-Friday with a morning start time. Schedule may vary depending on time of year and season, with some overtime opportunities available during busier seasons. This role is eligible for a $3,000 sign on bonus. $1500 will be paid after 30 days, and an aditional $1500 after 180 days.

Requirements

  • Class A or B CDL
  • Hazmat endorsement, or willing and able to obtain
  • Must meet minimum age requirement
  • Ability to read, write and communicate in English and understand highway traffic signs and signals
  • Must meet DOT and Company requirements

Nice To Haves

  • Tanker and Air Brake endorsements preferred
  • Ability to work additional hours and occasional weekends to meet business demands.
  • Bulk liquid experience preferred

Responsibilities

  • Ensure accurate and on time deliveries to our customers in a safe, timely, and professional manner.
  • Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal laws. To include but not limited to pre-trip and post-trip reporting, proper load securement and hours of service.
  • Assist in the warehouse when not delivering product.
  • Work extended hours in-season to meet business demands.
  • Maintain and promote a strong safety culture and follow all safety policies, procedures and regulations. Identify and communicate workplace hazards and correct or seek assistance in correcting unsafe actions or conditions
  • Assist warehouse staff and perform other duties as needed or assigned.
