As a Hardware Technician, Service Operations Tooling, you will play a critical role in supporting Lucid Motors’ service network by assembling, validating, and managing specialized service tooling used across service centers globally. This role requires hands-on mechanical assembly with cross-functional coordination, ensuring tooling is built, validated, tracked, and delivered efficiently to support global field operations. You will work closely with the groups design team to ensure that tooling meets functional, safety, and quality standards before deployment globally. In addition, you will leverage SAP to manage inventory, create work orders, and assist in forecast tooling needs to support business growth.

Requirements

  • High school diploma required; technical college or vocational training strongly preferred.
  • Experience in automotive, OEM, or supply chain environments with a technical focus on service operations or parts operations is highly advantageous.
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical assembly processes and best practices.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across multiple teams.
  • Strong work ethic, attention to detail, and a proactive, ownership-driven mindset.
  • Analytical thinking skills, including the ability to gather data, identify issues, compare inputs, and draw sound conclusions.

Nice To Haves

  • Basic familiarity with CAD software such as 3DX, CATIA, or NX.
  • Experience working with 3D-printed parts, including operating and maintaining 3D printing equipment.
  • Prior experience supporting tooling deployment in a service or manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

  • Assemble special tooling jigs and fixtures for service operations and other departments.
  • Review tooling needs with the design team. Ensure key members are aligned.
  • Work with the Serviceability team to validate tools before implementation to the field
  • Develop and maintain spare tooling & equipment inventory with the use of SAP software to keep track of tooling parts.
  • Support the group's 3D printers and other manufacturing equipment by preparing parts / operating equipment for assembly.
