What you’ll achieve As a Hardware System Engineer, you’ll be responsible for providing solutions to a variety of problems of certain scope and complexity by following standard engineering practices and using judgment within defined practices and procedures. You’ll build, test and modify hardware product prototypes, and determine rack scale requirements. You will also plan, organize and conduct technical projects within new or enhanced hardware products or systems.

Requirements

  • Proficiency in hardware, software (C, C++, Python) and/or operating systems (Windows, Linux) environments
  • Expertise to build, repair and prepare assemblies across product lines
  • Ability to process information and draw accurate conclusions by applying fundamental knowledge of engineering concepts
  • Good problem-solving and communication skills
  • Typically requires 2+ years of related experience in a professional role with a Bachelor’s degree; or an advanced degree without experience; or equivalent experience

Responsibilities

  • Demonstrate self-initiative and implement work plans and schedules
  • Perform, design and develop engineering assignments related to hardware products and systems, including development of new products or updates to existing products
  • Ensure applicability of component design and conformity of products and disciplines to established standards as well as specifications
  • Understand and adhere to cost targets established during the program design phase
  • Use tools appropriately with technical guidance and complete tasks as well as assignments under normal supervision
