Position Summary and Core Responsibilities Review architectural and construction drawings to support customers in meeting construction requirements and project objectives. Assess project progress to determine alignment with established timelines. Communicate effectively with Project Managers, Site Planners, and cross‑functional departments regarding ongoing site activities. Conduct routine site inspections to validate schedule milestones and provide clarification to contractors and customers. Perform other on‑site visits at customer locations as required. Other Specific Functions or Duties Meet with customers and contractors to perform site visits and guide facility preparation for efficient and successful equipment installation. Monitor facility readiness and ensure compliance with technical, construction, and safety requirements. Prepare and deliver detailed installation activity and site‑progress reports. Facilitate on‑site project meetings and review construction progress. Travel up to 75% to customer sites to oversee progress and support execution. Advise customers on complex facility needs including room layout; electrical, plumbing, and HVAC requirements; and safety guidelines. Conduct routine project management and site‑planning tasks to ensure compliance with Varian and local municipal standards. Provide guidance on IT‑related facility requirements including network, power, workstation layout, and server configurations.

Requirements

  • Experience in field customer service, construction management, or engineering.
  • Strong customer service orientation and relationship‑building abilities.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Experience working with medical devices (preferred).
  • Basic negotiation and conflict‑management skills.
  • Working knowledge of construction and electrical codes and government radiation regulations.
  • Ability to interpret and analyze construction drawings.
  • General understanding of IT infrastructure.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Project, Visio, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and email communication tools.
  • Technician‑level background or equivalent experience.
  • 1–2 years of directly related work experience.
  • Ability to Travel Travel is required.
