Your Team, Your Impact We are looking for a Hardware Validation Engineer with strong experience in SSD hardware, SoC bring‑up, and post‑silicon validation. The candidate will play a key technical role in leading the validation strategy, debugging complex issues, and collaborating across architecture, design, firmware, and application teams.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field with 8+ years of relevant professional experience; or Master's/Ph.D. degree with 4+ years of relevant experience.
  • Strong proficiency in C/C++, ARM assembly, and 32/64-bit ARM CPU architecture.
  • Experience in firmware development under bare-metal and/or Linux environments, including debugging on SoCs for embedded applications.
  • Extensive experience in pre-/post‑silicon validation, SoC debugging, and hardware/firmware interaction analysis.
  • Hands-on experience with lab instruments such as oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, power analyzers, etc.
  • Flexible, proactive, and capable of working both independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to take ownership of assigned tasks and drive them to completion.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with SSD controllers is a plus.
  • Knowledge of interfaces such as NAND/PCIe/NVMe/DDR is a plus.
  • Prior experience with SSD controllers, PHY bring‑up, or system‑level SSD validation is highly preferred.
  • Familiarity with advanced NAND technologies, including LTT and SCA, is a significant advantage.

Responsibilities

  • Lead post‑silicon validation of SSD SoC and PHY subsystems, including performance, power, functional, and stress testing.
  • Develop, port, and execute bare-metal test firmware to validate hardware blocks, interfaces, and system-level integration.
  • Own bring‑up of new silicon: instrumenting test environments, enabling interfaces, validating clocks/power, and debugging hardware issues.
  • Define and lead validation strategy, test coverage, and test methodologies for next‑generation SSD chipsets.
  • Develop advanced test frameworks, diagnostic tools, and benchmarking applications.
  • Perform detailed failure analysis, root‑cause debugging, and cross-team collaboration with RTL, DV, analog, FW, and system teams.
  • Review and author test plans, validation checklists, test reports, and sign‑off packages.
  • Provide technical support to Field Application Engineers, customer debug teams, and manufacturing test teams.
