About The Position

We are seeking a full-time Guest Operations Lead in Attractions, responsible for leadership and crew supervision and management of daily operations. Responsibilities and qualifications are shown below:

Requirements

  • Previous Back-up Lead experience is required in Trams, Attractions or Guest Services.
  • An enthusiastic and outgoing personality.
  • The desire and ability to provide outstanding guest service.
  • Strong interpersonal and presentation skills. The ability to communicate information clearly to both large and small groups.
  • A working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite with the aptitude to learn new software applications.
  • Must have the maturity to work with little or no supervision.
  • Must be able to work effectively within a team environment.
  • Must be able to stand for long durations and walk long distances throughout the Center. The ability to move quickly through groups of people in emergency situations and maneuver effectively through crowded areas.
  • Availability to work a varied schedule including weekdays, weekends and holidays as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the maintenance of daily crew member time and attendance records, establishing and implementing a fair and equitable break schedule, communicating with Department Supervisors and effectively administering Space Center Houston policies and procedures.
  • Provide an exceptional guest experience. Promote and emulate the company’s Service Values.
  • Responsible for Crew leadership including leading meetings, recognition and celebrations, performance counseling and training.
  • Understands, follows and implements procedures and information found in Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Responsible for one of the following activities in each rotation: training, scheduling or safety under the direction of a supervisor.
  • Must know their area as an expert and will recommend Crew for certification in the assigned area.
  • Responsible for proper flow of guests as they enter and participate in the area’s activities.
  • Maintain a safe, clean and orderly area.
  • Know and execute all emergency and evacuation procedures.
  • Ensure all crew members inform guests about membership benefits and additional experiences such as tours, dining, souvenir photos, the gift shop, and parking assistance.
  • Cooperate with his/her fellow crew members, assisting them with the common duties and responsibilities of the position to ensure the efficient operation of the area.
  • Other duties and special projects as assigned.
