GTM Lead Engineer

LearnUponSalt Lake City, UT
Hybrid

About The Position

LearnUpon is looking for a GTM Lead Engineer to join our team in Salt Lake City. This is a hybrid role, working 3 days per week from LearnUpon's office. LearnUpon LMS helps organizations train their employees, customers, and members. Businesses can manage, track, and achieve their unique learning goals — all through a single, powerful solution. With offices in Dublin (our HQ), Belgrade, Philadelphia, Salt Lake City and Sydney, we are a global team with lots of diverse cultures, backgrounds, and experiences that puts our customers' experience at the heart of everything we do. Our culture fosters an open, collaborative and supportive environment where our accomplishments are celebrated and encouraged. We're always striving for the best solution (not the easy one). We’re proud of our success and we’re humble and hungry to achieve more. Our Go-To-Market (GTM) Systems team is the architectural heartbeat of our growth strategy. While traditional operations focus on maintaining the status quo, this team is responsible for building the automated future of our business development motion. You will be a founding member of this function and will report to the Head of Revenue Operations, working closely with Business Development, Sales, and Marketing. Your mission is to eliminate the "grind" of manual prospecting by building a sophisticated, AI-driven signals engine and a unified automated ecosystem that allows our sales team to focus entirely on closing deals rather than managing tools.

Requirements

  • 6+ years in SaaS, with at least 2 years specifically focused on GTM automation or RevOps architecture.
  • Systems Thinking: The ability to look at a complex manual process and visualize the automated architecture required to solve it.
  • Automation Mastery: Deep expertise in workflow orchestration tools (e.g., n8n, Make, Zapier, or Tray.io) and data enrichment platforms (e.g., Clay, Apollo, or Clearbit).
  • CRM Expertise: Advanced knowledge of CRM architecture (Salesforce) and how to build custom objects/logic that support automation.
  • AI/LLM Familiarity: Practical experience using LLMs (Geminni, OpenAI, Anthropic) for prompt engineering and automating content generation within a sales context.
  • Business Acumen: A strong understanding of the B2B sales funnel, lead-to-revenue cycles, and key GTM metrics like CAC and Pipeline Velocity

Nice To Haves

  • Experience building with AI agent frameworks.
  • Prior experience in a "Founding GTM Engineer" or "RevOps Architect" role at a high-growth SaaS company.
  • Familiarity with SQL and data visualization tools (Tableau/Looker) to build "Live ROI" dashboards for your automations.
  • Strong understanding of outbound prospecting and Business Development (BD) best practices, with a focus on translating high-quality account identification methods into scalable automation.

Responsibilities

  • Architecting the Signals Engine: Design and build an automated system that captures high-intent buying signals (hiring trends, tech stack changes, social triggers) and transforms them into actionable tasks for the BD team.
  • Workflow Orchestration: Implement "agentic" workflows—AI agents that can autonomously research accounts, draft hyper-personalized outreach, and manage lead routing across our ecosystem.
  • Tech Stack Consolidation: Audit and revamp our existing sales and marketing technology. You will move us away from a "stitched-together" stack toward a seamless, automated platform where data flows without manual intervention.
  • Sales & BD Partnership: Work directly with the Business Development and Sales leaders to identify manual bottlenecks and engineer automated solutions that serve their day-to-day needs.
  • System Governance & Scaling: Ensure the "plumbing" of our GTM motion is robust, scalable, and capable of handling 10x our current lead volume through efficient API integrations and database management.
  • Continuous Innovation: Stay at the forefront of the AI/Agentic landscape, constantly experimenting with new LLM capabilities and automation tools to keep our GTM motion ahead of the competition.

Benefits

  • Competitive salary and company ESOP.
  • 25 days’ PTO + 1 annual company wellness day off.
  • Private health insurance and company 401k
  • Parental benefits, including up to 26 weeks’ paid maternity leave, 4 weeks’ paid paternity leave, and coaching support for new parents
  • Up to 4 weeks’ per year working abroad (role eligibility applies)
  • Clear career progression opportunities — take LearnUpon where you think it can go
  • A collaborative and supportive environment with regular team events
