BGS is currently seeking to hire an GTE Air Dominance Proposal Integrator (Mid or Senior Levels) within the Government Training Engineering (GTE) organization located in Berkeley, Missouri or Hazelwood, Missouri. The selected candidate will join the GTE F-15 USAF Office of the Chief Engineer (OCE) and will be responsible for all proposal activities related to upgrades, retrofits, new-builds, and capability growth for pilot and maintenance training devices in the F-15 USAF training portfolio. The successful candidate will have skills and experience in leading the activities of proposal development. The successful candidate will also have the ability to leverage existing technologies, resolve cross-functional issues, and support projects from RFP to Baseline. Familiarity with leading proposal development with Training Systems engineering teams is highly preferred. This position involves frequent interaction with customer partners and suppliers and may require occasional travel to installation sites, suppliers, and other Boeing facilities.

Requirements

  • 1+ years experience with Engineering proposal generation.
  • 5+ years experience working effectively and collaborating within a diverse engineering team in an on-site work environment.
  • Ability and willingness to take ownership of work activities to ensure they are completed accurately and efficiently.
  • Experience working with Microsoft Office (Excel, Work, PowerPoint, Project).
  • This position is expected to be 100% onsite.
  • The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at Berkeley, MO or Hazelwood, MO.
  • This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.
  • This position must meet export control compliance requirements. To meet export control compliance requirements, a “U.S. Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.15 is required. “U.S. Person” includes U.S. Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.

Nice To Haves

  • 9+ years experience with project management, planning and cost estimating.
  • Experience with Training Systems and/or Boeing military aircraft platforms.
  • Experience working within a SAFe Agile team.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the proposal development including the development and documentation of planned technical approach.
  • Ability to decompose Statement of Work (SOW) to determine capability impact.
  • Analyze customer request/change requests/customer issues and develop estimates and determine risks and alternative solutions.
  • Responsible for the documentation of the Engineering Basis of Estimate, Trade Studies, Request for Information (RFI) and Bill of Material (BOM’s) if required.
  • Identify and cultivate process improvements in the engineering proposal process, integration procedures and system design.
  • Lead Executability reviews for proposal activities.
  • Participate in Customer and Supplier negotiations.
  • Develop and maintain relationships/partnerships with the entire team including but not limited to the capability teams, program management, leadership team and customers.
  • Serve as primary Engineering point of contact for proposal activities.
  • Exercises critical thinking and innovative problem solving.
  • Demonstrates Boeing behaviors in a deliberate and observable way.
  • May be requested to support other programs or perform other duties as assigned.
