About The Position

The Guaranteed Repair Program (GRP) Administrator is responsible for the administration, oversight, and quality control of the Door-to-Door and Guaranteed Repair Programs throughout Downstate New York and Long Island. This role evaluates demographic and performance data, including Risk in Force and claim volume, to determine business needs for third-party service providers such as collision repair facilities. The GRP Administrator monitors service quality, estimate accuracy, and severity results through closed estimate reviews, onsite statistical reviews, and reinspections. This position also develops and reviews management reports, communicates results to participating repair facilities, and ensures compliance with company standards and New York State regulations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university, or equivalent relevant work experience.
  • 5–10 years of related insurance, auto appraisal, or claims experience.
  • Active New York State Auto Damage license.
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and Mitchell Appraisal Software.
  • In-depth knowledge of automobile repair processes, estimating practices, and auto insurance products.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, communication, and negotiation skills.
  • Valid driver’s license, in good standing, with the ability to travel extensively within New York State.

Responsibilities

  • Administer the Door-to-Door and Guaranteed Repair Programs in accordance with the GRP Manual and New York State regulations, including shop onboarding, maintenance, documentation, and compliance.
  • Monitor and address shop performance KPIs such as estimate accuracy, cycle time, repair quality, and customer satisfaction.
  • Analyze management and performance reports to identify compliance issues and improvement opportunities; develop and implement action plans as needed.
  • Conduct vehicle damage estimates and reinspect repair estimates for accuracy and quality.
  • Perform closed estimate reviews and onsite statistical audits of participating repair facilities.
  • Communicate reinspection findings and management report observations clearly and professionally to repair shops.
  • Maximize utilization of Door-to-Door and GRP repair facilities within the assigned territory.
  • Partner with other company departments to support program utilization and cross training initiatives.
  • Handle and resolve customer complaints related to repair quality or service issues.
  • Travel regularly throughout the State of New York; overnight travel may be required.
  • The role requires working in adverse conditions, including conducting vehicle inspections outdoors in inclement weather and driving long distances, as needed.
  • Must be comfortable performing inspections of damaged vehicles, which may include crawling under and around vehicles and working in tight or confined spaces at body shops and salvage yards.
  • Participate in catastrophe claim handling assignments, which may include travel to other geographic areas, extended work hours, and stays of up to three weeks.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
