About The Position

History Associates Incorporated is seeking a highly motivated and results-driven sales representative to join our team. The sales representative will be responsible for generating leads and closing sales for our historical research and consulting services. The successful candidate will have excellent communication and negotiation skills, be comfortable with cold-calling, and have a passion for history.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, marketing, history.
  • Proven track record of successful sales experience, preferably in a B2B environment
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong negotiation and closing skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Passion for history and cultural heritage.
  • Ability to travel, as needed.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM software.

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge in the areas of historical research, information management and digital preservation, and museum exhibits is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Generate new leads through prospecting and networking.
  • Follow up on leads and convert them into sales.
  • Build and maintain relationships with new and existing clients.
  • Understand clients' needs and provide appropriate solutions.
  • Meet or exceed monthly sales targets.
  • Maintain accurate records of sales activities and customer interactions.
  • Attend trade shows, conferences, and other events to promote our services.
  • Keep up-to-date with industry trends and competitive landscape.
