About The Position

About Passes: Passes is a rapidly growing tech platform designed to help creators pursue their entrepreneurial dreams and connect deeply with their communities. Founded in 2022, Passes is building the infrastructure that powers creator businesses across content, commerce, and fan relationships. As we scale, organic discovery is a critical growth lever. Creators need to find Passes when they are researching tools, and fans need to find Passes when they are searching for their favorite creators. This role is foundational to making that happen. Position Overview: We are looking for a hands-on Growth Manager: SEO & AEO to fully own organic growth at Passes across both SEO and AEO. This person will be responsible for building our SEO & AEO program end-to-end. That includes strategy, execution, measurement, and iteration. You will drive visibility for Passes across Google Search and AI-driven discovery surfaces, including LLMs and chat-based search interfaces. This role is highly cross-functional and execution-oriented. You will work closely with engineering, product, content, and marketing, and you will be expected to roll up your sleeves and build. This is not a vendor-management or maintenance role. It is a true ownership role.Initial focus will be on creator acquisition. Over time, the role will expand to improving fan discovery for creator pages on Passes.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of experience in SEO, growth, or organic acquisition roles.
  • Proven experience building SEO programs at early-stage or 0–1 companies.
  • Demonstrated ability to drive meaningful business outcomes such as revenue, leads, or customer acquisition.
  • Strong technical SEO fundamentals and experience partnering with engineering teams.
  • Deep understanding of search intent, content strategy, and ranking systems.
  • Working knowledge of AEO, AI-driven discovery, and how LLMs surface content.
  • Highly execution-oriented with a strong ownership mindset.
  • Comfortable operating in ambiguity and fast-moving startup environments.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in the creator economy, marketplaces, or SaaS.
  • Experience with programmatic SEO or large-scale page generation.
  • Experience driving discovery through Reddit or community platforms.
  • Experience optimizing content for LLM retrieval, schema for AI search, or emerging AEO patterns.

Responsibilities

  • SEO & AEO Ownership Own SEO and AEO as a growth channel end-to-end, including strategy, execution, and performance.
  • Develop and execute a search strategy that ensures Passes surfaces prominently in: Google search results AI-powered search and chat interfaces LLM-driven discovery experiences Continuously identify where creators are searching, asking questions, and researching tools, and ensure Passes appears at those moments.
  • Creator Acquisition & Brand Visibility Build SEO programs that drive high-quality creator acquisition rather than vanity traffic. Own keyword strategy, site taxonomy, and content architecture aligned to creator intent. Lead execution across: Editorial and evergreen content Programmatic and product-led SEO initiatives Reddit and community-driven discovery Earned visibility and citations Measure impact in terms of creators acquired, leads generated, and downstream business results.
  • Fan Discovery for Creator Pages After core SEO foundations are established, expand focus to fan discovery. Increase visibility of Passes creator pages when fans search for their favorite creators. Partner with product and engineering to improve page structure, schema, internal linking, and crawlability. Help creators earn more by driving more fans to their Passes profiles.
  • Cross-Functional Execution Partner closely with engineering on technical SEO, performance, and indexing. Work with content, brand, and growth teams to prioritize and execute SEO initiatives. Translate business goals into clear SEO roadmaps and execution plans. Determine when agencies or contractors are helpful and when work should be done in-house.
