Program Overview RIVA Solutions is seeking a Growth & Strategy Intern to support the company’s marketing, sales, and proposal efforts. This role will report directly to the Chief Growth Officer and will collaborate with senior growth leaders, including the VP of Growth and VP of Marketing & Communications, gaining hands-on exposure to government contracting and corporate strategy. This internship offers an opportunity to build foundational professional skills while contributing to initiatives that shape RIVA’s business strategy, operations, and market positioning. The intern will work in a collaborative environment and be empowered to make meaningful contributions to growth initiatives. Position Overview The Growth Intern will provide day-to-day support across Growth & Strategy priorities, including performance reporting, meeting coordination, growth operations support, marketing/communications contributions, and proposal-related research and content organization. This role is ideal for a highly organized and proactive student who enjoys solving problems, working with data, building clear deliverables, and supporting cross-functional initiatives. High-performing interns may be considered for future opportunities based on business needs and performance.

Requirements

  • Actively enrolled as a Junior, Senior, or Graduate student pursuing a degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, Public Policy, or a related field
  • GPA of 3.0 or higher in major coursework
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
  • Local to the greater DC/Northern VA area with ability to work hybrid (onsite meetings and events as needed)

Nice To Haves

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
  • Familiarity with CRM systems (preferred)
  • Self-motivated, proactive, and eager to learn with strong interest in business strategy and growth

Responsibilities

  • Provide meeting coordination and logistical support for strategy, growth, and executive sessions
  • Assist with planning and execution of key growth initiatives and business priorities
  • Support internal coordination and follow-through to keep workstreams on track
  • Assist with CRM metrics and reporting
  • Support data analytics and performance metrics tracking, including Enterprise Value and key growth indicators
  • Help maintain reporting outputs and organize data for leadership visibility
  • Contribute to marketing and communications efforts, including content development, branding initiatives, and event planning
  • Assist with social media engagement and content creation to highlight growth and strategy initiatives
  • Support coordination for RIVA events and related logistics as needed
  • Provide proposal support, including research, data gathering, and content organization for bids
  • Assist in preparing internal documentation that supports growth efforts and proposal development
  • Network with industry professionals and attend events (as applicable) to expand industry knowledge and build connections
