Lead a team who supports the supply chain for electrical components including but not limited to Capacitors, Resistors, Inductors, & Timing Devices. Develop and mentor a team of Strategic Sourcing Managers to achieve growth towards their individual program and career goals. Train a team of Strategic Sourcing Managers to synthesize and communicate information and sourcing recommendations to senior executives. Coach the team to demonstrate detailed expertise but also know how to drive macro level negotiations and escalations with supplier executives. See around corners and create or improve processes that remove roadblocks for teams to allow them to focus on strategic initiatives. Leverage industry experience and internal network to develop, refine, and implement a sourcing strategy that is aligned with overall company goals. Manage deliverables with constrained resources, creatively restructure and re-prioritize work. Collaborate with Material Program Managers to resolve component shortages and mitigate risk to product-level production schedules and meet customer demand. Negotiate and execute contractual agreements with vendors to secure development, supply, capacity and pricing terms. Optimize supply chain performance through vendor financial analysis, industry analysis, short term and long term forecasting, & capacity analysis. Collaborate with the Environmental and Supply Chain Innovation team to meet company sustainability, decarbonization, and closed loop recycling goals for priority materials through deep understanding of raw material and manufacturing supply chains. Collaborate with the Responsible Sourcing team to conduct due diligence to ensure sub-tier vendor compliance with the company’s ethical and responsible sourcing standards for conflict minerals and working conditions. Interface with Component Quality Engineers and Design For Manufacturing teams to investigate root causes for component failures and mitigate risk by securing alternative supply sources, corrective action implementation, and/or supply prioritization. International travel required 5%. 40 hours/week. At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $219,024 - $236,700/yr and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering or related field and 3 years of experience in the job offered or in a Sourcing-related occupation.
  • 3 years of experience in the following: Cost modeling, cost negotiations, and electrical component sourcing such as RFQ's, and supplier management
  • Lead cross-functional teams to achieve consensus, execute towards strategic initiatives and report progress to senior executives Developing dashboards, data visualizations and analytical tools to support sourcing decisions using Tableau and SQL databases
  • Contract negotiation with vendors to secure long term development & supply protections as well as part/program specific capacity commitments, supply commitments, NTE pricing, rebate terms
  • Deep supply chain and manufacturing process knowledge of raw materials including ore mining, smelting, processing, and final production including extrusion or sintering
  • New sustainable manufacturing processes enabling 100% certified recycled material component production.
  • Supplier and supply chain strategy recommendations for improving cost and efficiency
  • Application of value engineering principles to optimize design for cost and performance through technical understanding
  • Investigate failures, identify root causes, implement corrective actions through factory audits, design reviews, & test procedures and conduct supply chain traceability and risk analysis including responsible sourcing compliance, import, export, and chain of custody records
  • Application and use of per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS) in the production or finished state of electrical components to navigate changing regulatory requirements and mitigate supply risk.
