Position Summary: The Senior Leader of Customer Deal Readiness and Execution is positioned within Customer Operations and directly oversees the Program Delivery Team, serving as the critical bridge between Sales and post-sales execution. This role ensures deals transition seamlessly from signed agreement through operational delivery and contract fulfillment while managing risk, compliance, margin, data acquisition strategies, revenue, and customer experience. This leader owns the operational governance of the commercial lifecycle, from late-stage deal structuring through onboarding, delivery readiness, and ongoing commercial management. The role partners closely with Sales, Strategic Sourcing, Customer Experience, Finance, and Legal to ensure revenue is executable, compliant, profitable, and scalable.

  • Strong background in deal structuring, pricing, contracts, and operational risk management
  • Experience leading Deal Desk and complex approval workflows
  • Demonstrated ability to manage budgets and influence executive-level decisions

Responsibilities

  • Program Delivery Ownership (Revenue-Driving Execution)
  • Hold direct ownership for program delivery of revenue-generating customer programs, including Energy-as-a-Service (EaaS), solar generation, and data solutions
  • Directly build out and manage Construction Management area, ensuring balance between business acumen and site level construction expertise
  • Lead program management for complex, multi-year customer programs from post-deal handoff through execution, value realization, and ongoing operations
  • Ensure program delivery aligns with contractual commitments, commercial assumptions, and customer outcomes
  • Own delivery readiness, resourcing, timelines, and dependency management across cross-functional teams
  • Drive accountability for company revenue MBOs tied to program execution, customer performance, and milestone achievement
  • Partner with Sales and Customer Experience to support expansions, change orders, and renewals based on delivered value
  • Monitor program financials, margin performance, and delivery risk throughout the lifecycle, taking corrective action as needed
  • Establish standard program governance, reporting, and escalation models to ensure predictable execution at scale
  • Deal-to-Delivery Ownership
  • Serve as the primary operational owner for deals transitioning from Sales to Customer Operations
  • Ensure deal structures are operationally executable, financially sound, and aligned with delivery capabilities
  • Lead cross-functional deal readiness reviews to identify and mitigate downstream risk
  • Contract Management & Compliance
  • Review, assess, and mitigate contractual and operational risk across customer deals and supplier agreements
  • Ensure customer and supplier agreements comply with internal policies, regulatory requirements, and contractual obligations, with alignment across both sides of the business
  • Partner with Legal, Finance, and Sourcing to negotiate, finalize , and standardize scopes, pricing, and commercial terms
  • Budget & Financial Stewardship
  • Own Customer Operations commercial budgets related to deal support, onboarding, and operational enablement
  • Partner with Finance on margin analysis, cost-to-serve modeling, and financial forecasting
  • Ensure commercial decisions align with financial targets and long-term profitability
  • Commercial Process & Optimization
  • Define the construction project management strategy, including how to support one-off deals that require a dedicated construction manager and increased on-site support
  • Design and continuously improve deal-to-delivery workflows and handoffs
  • Standardize operating procedures across Sales and Customer Operations
  • Reduce cycle time, rework, and revenue delays through clear processes and accountability
  • Systems, Data & Insights
  • Own commercial operations systems supporting deal execution (CRM, CPQ, contract management, onboarding tools)
  • Ensure data integrity across deal, customer, and operational records
  • Provide leadership with actionable insights on deal quality, risk trends, margin performance, and execution readiness
  • Cross-Functional Leadership
  • Serve as a trusted partner to Sales, Customer Experience, Finance, Legal, Product, and Delivery leaders
  • Influence outcomes without direct authority, ensuring alignment between commercial ambition and operational reality
  • Drive clarity on ownership, decision rights, and accountability across teams
  • Team Leadership & Change Management
  • Build and lead a high-performing Customer Deal Readiness and Execution team embedded within Customer Operations
  • Lead Program Delivery team
  • Develop capabilities in deal governance, risk assessment, financial analysis, and operational planning
  • Lead change initiatives tied to GTM evolution, customer lifecycle improvements, and compliance requirements
