Grounds Worker II - Central Regional Hospital
About The Position
We are currently recruiting for a Grounds Worker II at Central Regional Hospital in Butner, NC. This position provides landscape maintenance and installation services for Central Regional Hospital Main and Annex Campus areas, ADATC, Whitaker School and Camp Barham. The duties of this position include, but are not limited to, care & cultivation of grass, trees & shrubs, maintenance of paved & parking areas; seasonal snow & ice removal from all roads, docks, building entrances, & parking areas; equipment repair and maintenance. Position will operate various motorized landscape equipment such as mowers, tractors, and loaders as well as large selection of powered/non-powered hand tools associated with the trade.
Requirements
- High school or General Educational Development (GED) diploma and two years of progressive experience in horticultural work
- Associate's degree in agriculture and natural resources, greenhouse and grounds maintenance, horticulture technology, landscape gardening or closely related field from an appropriately accredited institution
- an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Valid Driver's License
Nice To Haves
- Previous work experience demonstrating history of commercial or institutional landscape maintenance or installation, or equivalent agriculture experience.
- Working knowledge of the methods, practices, tools, and materials used in commercial landscape maintenance and/or installation.
