Grounds Maintenance Associate
About The Position
The Grounds Maintenance Associate is responsible for maintaining the appearance and cleanliness of all outdoor areas at Maine Beer Company to ensure they are safe, welcoming, and visually appealing throughout the late Spring and Summer seasons. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working outdoors, takes pride in their work, and can operate independently. This is a seasonal position expected to work approximately 20 hours per week and is part of the Tasting Room department. Requirements
- Ability to bend, kneel, and lift regularly
- Capable of prolonged standing and walking
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently
- Strong attention to detail and pride in maintaining a clean environment
Nice To Haves
- Previous landscaping or grounds maintenance experience is a plus, but not required
Responsibilities
- Perform routine weeding, planting, and watering of landscaped areas
- Maintain cleanliness of outdoor spaces, including patios, walkways, and green areas
- Pick up trash, debris, and ensure grounds are free of hazards
- Assist with seasonal planting and general landscape upkeep
- Operate basic power equipment such as blowers, mowers, and trimmers
- Monitor outdoor areas and address maintenance needs as they arise
