The COMET contract provides overall management and implementation of ground systems capabilities, flight hardware processing, and launch operations at NASA's Kennedy Space Center (KSC) in Florida. These tasks will support the International Space Station, Ground Systems Development and Operations, and the Space Launch System, Orion MultiPurpose Crew Vehicle, and Launch Services programs. The Ground Systems Support (GSS) organization is looking for a bright and motivated Planning / Scheduling expert to support multiple programs for the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA). The candidate will provide planning support for Operations and Maintenance shops to include Cranes, Doors and Platforms (CDP), Crawlers, Transporters and Structures (STS), Emergency Egress System (EES), Ignition Overpressure and Sound Suppression (IOP-SS), Facility Ground Systems Pneumatics (GPNEU) and the Launch Equipment Shop (LES) - includes manufacturing/fabrication shops (machine, weld, sheet metal, pneumatics, cable fab, industrial paint, and maintenance/repair/assembly. A background in production control, preventive maintenance planning, parts and material kitting, logistics inventory processes, and component calibration and cleaning processes are highly desired. Work will be planned and scheduled in accordance with the Kennedy Integrated Control Schedules (KICS), to include support operations, service calls, non-conformances, and preventative maintenance. This position requires extensive communication with internal and external customers to determine requirements for developing detailed work plans responsible for areas of responsibility. Primavera is the primary planning and scheduling software tool. This position will be considered at multiple levels.
