About The Position

In this leadership role, you’ll guide a dedicated team to ensure every store receives the right product, on time, and in perfect condition—all while driving efficiency and cost-effectiveness. As a Grocery Transportation Supervisor, you’ll be the go-to leader for your team and a key player in our distribution success. Your responsibilities include:

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Transportation, Logistics or Supply Chain preferred.
  • One year of experience in transportation or distribution role required.
  • Strong skill base and comfort with technology including Microsoft Office, specifically Excel, and routing or dispatching systems.
  • Able to work with minimum supervision, meet the scheduled timelines, and organize the work accordingly.

Nice To Haves

  • Preferred candidate will have experience supervising and leading a team (transportation leadership is a plus). Demonstrated experience leading, directing, communicating change, and developing a team strongly desired.
  • Transportation-related (Federal, State and DOT), Food safety-related (FSMA) and operations-related safety (OSHA), regulatory compliance policies, and quality control practices preferred.
  • Experience with electronic logging devices is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Lead & Develop: Hire, coach, mentor, and train team members while managing performance and growth.
  • Drive Operational Excellence: Allocate work, monitor productivity, and ensure grocery routes and backhauls run smoothly.
  • Support Our Drivers: Be available beyond office hours to resolve issues and provide leadership support when needed.
  • Collaborate Across Teams: Work with Distribution Centers and store leadership to optimize delivery schedules and improve efficiencies.
  • Champion Safety & Training: Assist with annual safety programs, new driver onboarding, and ongoing development.
  • Innovate for Impact: Identify opportunities to enhance service and streamline processes for maximum store-level success.
