Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred; equivalent work experience considered
  • Basic math skills required
  • Overhead crane experience preferred; training provided

Responsibilities

  • Performs all tasks in a safe and responsible manner
  • Receive and follow work instructions, schedules, and priorities from supervisors, operators, and/or dispatch lists
  • Operate grinders, sanders, and related equipment to deburr, smooth, and finish parts to required specifications
  • Verify correct quantity and quality of parts processed, ensuring conformance to work instructions and quality standards
  • Inspect parts for sharp edges, surface defects, and workmanship issues
  • Perform minor repairs, routine maintenance, and preventive maintenance on equipment; notify supervision when additional maintenance is required
  • Participate in gauge calibration and inspection programs as required
  • Operate hand torches as needed for job duties
  • Move materials using forklifts, overhead cranes, and other material-handling equipment in accordance with standard operating procedures and safety regulations
  • Maintain equipment, tools, and work area in a clean, safe, and serviceable condition
