About The Position

The iconic Hotel del Coronado is looking for a Beach Village Greeter (Seasonal) to join the team! Join one of the last surviving wooden Victorian beach resorts in the world and after a $400M renovation and expansion, the resort is more stunning than ever. Located on Coronado Island just minutes from Downtown San Diego, this 28-acre property was built in 1888 and has over 750 rooms, cottages, and villas with 65,000 square feet of banquet space, and 10 food and beverage outlets. This includes 4 restaurants, 2 bars, a food truck, marketplace, ice cream shop, and in-room dining. Beach Village at The Del is an exclusive enclave of luxurious beachfront accommodations located within the iconic setting of Hotel del Coronado. Cottages and villas range from one to three bedrooms and include fireplaces, marble bathrooms and private patios or balconies. As our Beach Village Greeter, you will champion a friendly and smooth arrival and departure of each Beach Village guest. Coordinate the luggage delivery and retrieval as well as provide complete guestroom orientation. Provide accurate information and serve as the Beach Village ambassador on the front drive in the hotel's continuing effort to deliver outstanding guest service and financial profitability. Classification: Seasonal, Full Time Begins May 2026 and ends no later than September, 8th 2026 Shift: Various – must be available to work weekdays, weekends and holidays. Pay Rate: The pay rate for this role is $17.90 and is based on applicable and specialized experience and location. Union Position: This position is part of the Local L30 Union which requires complete open availability. We are not able to accommodate schedule restrictions and full-time hours are not guaranteed. Hours and schedule are based on seniority and business needs and may be minimal at times until seniority is established. You must be comfortable with a schedule and hours that may vary from week to week.

Responsibilities

  • Open car doors for both arriving and departing guests. Extend a warm welcome, a pleasant day and/or a fond farewell depending on circumstance.
  • Attend to all aspects of the arrival process; welcoming guests, unload, handle and deliver luggage and orient guests to their assigned accommodations as required.
  • Maintain an orderly arrival and departure experience by keeping driveway traffic flowing.
  • Check daily activity board in order to be aware of special needs of our guests along with arrival and departure time of our guests.
  • Adhere to department and hotel procedures and policies
  • Provide assistance to all hotel departments as required.
  • Adhere to guidelines established in the Hotel del Coronado Associate Handbook.
  • Perform additional tasks as requested by members of the leadership team.
  • Must be able to handle and process guests’ requests and exceed their expectations while providing them with personalized services and accurate information.
