About The Position

At Len Busch Roses, the Greenhouse Technician supports a team of greenhouse technicians and growers to deliver grown products to customers across a 5-state area. This full-time, year-round role involves hands-on crop work through various stages of plant growth, ensuring plant health, quality, and production readiness. The work includes planting, weeding, harvesting, clearing flower beds, and preparing products for delivery. This position is described as blending elements of landscaping, farming, and manufacturing, requiring stamina, strength, and teamwork, and is not considered traditional gardening.

Requirements

• Ability to work in a fast-paced, changing, and challenging environment
• Ability to perform various physical tasks (i.e. bending, kneeling, pushing, pulling, lifting, etc.)
• Ability to work in a hot environment (in a greenhouse)
• Ability to work holidays and overtime as business needs
• Repetitive heavy lifting of 50 pounds or more
• Requires stamina, strength, and teamwork

Responsibilities

• Support the team of greenhouse technicians and growers to bring grown product to customers throughout the 5-state area
• Plant, weed, and harvest in the greenhouses (crops include lilies, gerbera daisies, cyclamen, begonias, tulips, poinsettias, etc.)
• Clear flower beds and prepare product for delivery
• Conduct spacing and clearing of potted plants (hand and robotic spacing)
• Support forcing and crop clearing processes
