About The Position

At Levata, Our Graphics and Production Design Specialist, designs, prints, and manufactures ID access badges for various business types including government agencies, hospitals, and schools. Responsibilities include the preparation, proofing, and printing of customer approved artwork as well as operating production machines (die cutters, laminators, and guillotines).

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent required
  • Proficiency in vector-based applications like CorelDraw or Adobe Illustrator
  • Strong awareness of Microsoft Office Suite or related software
  • Clear understanding of printing concepts and needs (vectors, high-res files, layers, templates, CMYK, etc)
  • Impeccable attention to detail especially in regards print color, text proofing, and product sizes
  • Ability to prioritize, multi-task, work independently and as a team to meet deadlines
  • Effective oral and written communication skills
  • Good Mathematical skills
  • Prompt, reliable, and responsible.
  • Regularly required to stand for long periods of time to operate machinery
  • Regularly lift and/or move objects 10-50lbs
  • Specific vision requirements include near vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, and depth perception
  • Compliance to all relevant Barcodes’ policies and procedures related to Quality, Security, Safety, Business Continuity, and Environmental systems
  • Candidate must agree to and successfully pass a criminal background check
  • Must be legally eligible to work in United States

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of operating production machinery is preferred; some training is available

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and design digital artwork for customer approval using vector-based applications like CorelDraw
  • Setup print layouts, proof, print, and monitor jobs to ensure proper registration is maintained throughout
  • Operate designated manufacturing equipment as a member of the production team (e.g., laminator, die cutter, guillotine, printers)
  • Perform quality assurance checks of finished custom products (count, inspect, and package)
  • Communicate with customers in a prompt, professional, and positive manner
  • Partner with team members to achieve the departmental goals in safety, quality, and efficient production of finished custom products
  • Assist in preventative maintenance of manufacturing equipment
  • Assist in training and cross training of other employees as needed
  • Perform other incidental duties as assigned
