The Walker Art Center empowers people to experience the transformative possibilities of the art and ideas of our time and to imagine the world in new ways. In our over 125-year history, we have become one of the most celebrated art museums in the country and we are known for our innovative presentations and acclaimed collections of contemporary art across the spectrum of the visual, performing, and media arts. We are seeking a Graphic Designer to support the layout, formatting, and visual design of a submission-based publication (magazine or booklet format). This contract role will focus on organizing written and visual submissions into a cohesive and well-designed publication in honor of the Walker Art Center Teen Arts Council’s 30th Anniversary. The designer will also create the cover design and ensure the overall publication maintains consistent formatting, typography, and visual clarity. This role is well suited for an early-career designer interested in gaining experience in editorial and publication design. Working with the editorial or project team, the designer will translate submitted materials into a polished layout that is clear, visually engaging, and ready for print or digital distribution.
