About The Position

The Graphic Designer will be responsible for supporting our organization’s marketing, educational and promotional campaigns by creating and designing specific material that is in line with the Farouk Systems Brand.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Graphic Design or related field.
• 3+ years of experience in graphic design.
• Knowledge of the Adobe Suite of products.
• Knowledge of product photography and lighting.
• Strong graphics manipulation/optimization skills.
• Strong background in typography, layout, composition and color.
• Ability to multi-task and manage several projects simultaneously and document progress.
• Capable of working in a fast-paced environment under strict deadlines.
• Ability to effectively present ideas—both verbally and visually.
• Strong organizational skills.

Nice To Haves

• Some experience in advertising/graphic design in a professional environment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Take the direction that is given and develop design concept.
• Conduct product photography.
• Layout and design of advertising, magazines, product packaging, logos, manuals, posters, etc.
• Print, cut and assemble mock-ups of products and packaging for presentations.
• Produce art and layouts for reproduction, print and/or electronic media.
• Perform pre-press flight checks on projects before they are released for printing.
• Work closely with the Marketing, Education and Show Departments in conjunction with a team of designers.
• Continually improve skills in programs that are required to create and complete projects:  Adobe Photoshop; Adobe Illustrator; Adobe Acrobat; Adobe In Design; Adobe Bridge; Microsoft Word; Microsoft PowerPoint.
• Other duties as assigned.
