About The Position

This Design Manager will report to the Head of Deal Design & Development within the North America Deal Team, a creative team working with sales leaders to craft compelling “Why Visa” stories. The role is deeply embedded with Growth Products & Partnerships (GP&P), responsible for building and scaling Visa’s product- and solution-led partnerships with leading technology companies, particularly Big Tech partners. This position involves working closely with GP&P product, partnerships, and sales leaders to shape early-stage opportunity narratives, platform and ecosystem stories, and forward-looking partnership visions. The structure combines best-in-class deal design with deep context in product-led partnerships, ensuring stories are not only beautifully designed but strategically grounded in long-term value creation. Visa is seeking a Graphic Design Manager who is an exceptional presentation designer and visual storyteller, thriving in ambiguity, partnering closely with Sales, and helping shape opportunities before they formally exist. This hands-on individual contributor role sits at the intersection of design, storytelling, and deal strategy, working directly with sales and product leaders, account executives, and cross-functional partners to transform early-stage ideas into compelling pre-pitch, opportunity development, pitch, and RFP materials that influence executive decisions and win business. The ideal candidate is self-directed, highly collaborative, communicates confidently with Sales and Product leaders, and owns work end-to-end, raising the bar on the quality and clarity of pitch narratives.

Requirements

  • 5 or more years of relevant work experience with a Bachelors Degree or at least 2 years of work experience with an Advanced degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 0 years of work experience with a PhD
  • Expert-level PowerPoint skills (layout, hierarchy, storytelling, executive polish).
  • Strong command of Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign).
  • Deep understanding of typography, layout, visual hierarchy, and narrative structure.
  • Ability to simplify complexity without losing strategic nuance.
  • Comfortable sharing perspectives openly, challenging ideas thoughtfully, and working across seniority levels and functional groups (internal and external).
  • Strong executive-grade communication — able to explain the “why” behind design decisions.
  • Trusted partner who can influence without authority and collaborate across teams.
  • Highly self-directed with strong ownership mentality.
  • Curious, proactive, and willing to challenge the status quo.
  • Organized, reliable, and able to juggle multiple priorities without dropping quality.
  • Comfortable using AI and modern tools to improve speed, quality, and clarity.

  • Proven experience supporting sales teams, partnerships, or business development.

Responsibilities

  • Design high-impact pitch decks, pre-pitch materials, and RFP responses that clearly articulate product-led partnership value propositions.
  • Work closely with Growth Products & Partnerships leaders to shape ecosystem, platform, and “Why Visa” narratives from early-stage opportunity development through executive-level pitches.

  • Proactively engage with stakeholders, ask the right questions, and push for clarity when inputs are ambiguous.
  • Confidently present design rationale and challenge assumptions to improve outcomes.
  • Independently manage multiple workstreams from concept to final delivery.
  • Create and maintain presentation templates, visual systems, and reusable assets that balance speed with quality.
  • Ensure consistency with brand, storytelling standards, and executive-level expectations.
  • Create elegant visuals, infographics, diagrams, and light animations to represent experiences, capabilities, data, and complex concepts.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally as needed (e.g. Legal, Product Design).
  • Contribute to best practices, case studies, and evolving standards for pitch and presentation excellence.
  • Actively share best practices and consult with NA Deal Design & Development peers to continuously raise the bar on craft, consistency, and impact.
  • Move quickly while maintaining high standards — bias toward action, iteration, and ownership.
  • Use modern tools (including AI where appropriate) to accelerate thinking, iteration, and execution.
  • Continuously raise the bar on presentation quality, storytelling clarity, and effectiveness.
