About The Position

The Grants Project Manager plays a key role in supporting the university's mission by managing the full lifecycle of institutional, faculty, and programmatic grants. This position oversees proposal development, grant administration, compliance, and reporting for externally funded projects. The ideal candidate will collaborate with faculty, staff, and administrators to secure and steward funding that advances the university's teaching, research, and community engagement priorities.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree in higher education administration, business, or related field preferred.
Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in grants administration, proposal development, or project management within a higher education or nonprofit environment.
Demonstrated success in coordinating complex proposals and managing multiple grants simultaneously.
Strong understanding of federal, state, and foundation grant processes.
Excellent writing, editing, and communication skills.
Proficiency in grant management systems, project tracking, and budgeting tools.
Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management skills.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively across departments.
Commitment to supporting academic research and institutional advancement.
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
Excellent written, oral and interpersonal skills.
Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
Ability to speak effectively before groups of constituents and University employees.
