About The Position

Serves as subject matter expert in grant submission - pre award management and support post award activities. Acts as the lead liaison between NHMFL, SRA and FSU Research Foundation. Assist in creation of agreements and financial oversight. Tracks and assists with timely submission of project deliverables. Identifies all applicable federal and state statues, regulations, sponsor or university policies and program guidelines. Coordinate and provide technical assistance to faculty and staff in the preparation, review, and submission of proposals, as well as, administration of awards, grant modifications, subawards, progress reports and budgets for sponsored research and research foundation. Review and approve (Level 1) proposal applications in systems on behalf of NHMFL Finance Director. Responsible for creating and maintaining policies and procedures internal for the MagLab as it relates to RAMP, contracts, non-financial agreements such as NDAs/MTAs, grant proposals, and awards in all stages. Serves as the primary Grants Administrator for all centralized Mag Lab contracts & grants, including the Core. Assists with the MagLab Core Renewal proposal and Core Subawards. This includes creation of agreements, oversight, and acts as intermediary for the renewal proposal and subaward sites working with PIs and administrative staff as needed. Conduct training sessions/workshops for incoming researchers and related support staff on sponsored programs and sponsored agency and systems on an as needed basis. Represent the institution as a subject matter expert at regional and national organization meetings or conferences including NCURA. Independently seek opportunities to increase knowledge and services provided, including conferences and webinars. Disseminates and/or presents changes and advises on the implementation of changes and on the impact of changes on restricted funded operations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree and four years of experience; or a high school diploma or equivalent and eight years of experience. (Note: a combination of post high school education and experience equal to eight years.)
