For this position, teachers ideally have experience in the 2nd-4th grade range teaching all core classroom subjects. A Live Oak teacher exemplifies a Christian worldview in personal life, embraces the classical model of education, enjoys and loves students, demonstrates knowledge of effective teaching methods and developmentally appropriate classroom activities, is able to maintain a positive, orderly learning environment, possesses strong interpersonal and communication skills. Regular involvement in a church community is expected.

Responsibilities

• To implement the approved curriculum and to establish a class environment that follows the classical methodology with a Christian worldview while incorporating the educational ideals of Charlotte Mason
• to establish a classroom that fosters a love of learning and thinking, cooperation, and personal and social growth
• to maintain good relationships with students, parents, other staff members and the community
• to exhibit the highest standards of collegiality and professionalism.
