About The Position

Temporary hourly-intermittent student assistant position available in Community Engagement Belonging. Start Date Position available on or after February 23, 2026 and ending on or before May 31, 2026. Possibility of reappointment based on budget, department needs, and job performance.

Requirements

  • Undergraduate students must be registered/enrolled in a minimum of six (6) Fall/Spring units.
  • Post-baccalaureate students in a graduate program must be registered in a minimum of four (4) Fall/Spring units.

  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal).
  • Ability to work independently, exercise sound judgment, and demonstrate initiative.
  • Comfortable with technology, including event management software, scheduling tools, and office applications.
  • Previous experience in student leadership, event planning, student affairs, or related work preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide direct support to the Community Engagement & Belonging Office by assisting student organizations with event planning, space reservations, and general organizational support.
  • Assist student organizations with booking campus facilities and venues for meetings and events through 25Live and Warrior Life.
  • Guide students through the event registration process, ensuring proper approvals and adherence to policies.
  • Provide on-site support for student organization events as needed, including setup, check-in, and troubleshooting.
  • Serve as a resource for student leaders with questions about event planning, space usage, and organizational processes.
  • Provide guidance on university policies, procedures, and best practices for hosting safe and successful events.
  • Assist with leadership development programs, workshops, and training for student organizations.
  • Manage and maintain space booking systems, tracking requests and confirming reservations.
  • Assist with communication to student organizations regarding deadlines, policies, and upcoming events.
  • Support large-scale campus programs, such as student involvement fairs, organization expos, and leadership events.
  • Maintain accurate records of student organization activities and event data.
  • Support front desk operations as needed
  • Attend mandatory meetings or trainings as required.
  • Evening and weekend hours may be required for major student events.
  • Other duties as assigned.
