About The Position

As a member of the Student Organizations team, the Student Organizations Graduate Assistant will play an essential role in supporting student organizations by assisting with indoor room and outdoor space reservations and providing guidance throughout the event planning process. This position involves working closely with your supervisor and student groups to reserve spaces, ensuring that events are in line with institutional policies and procedures. The Graduate Assistant will play a role in creating a vibrant campus environment that fosters engagement and community-building. Requirements

  • Must be a currently enrolled graduate student (taking at least 9 hours).

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the managing of the student organization room reservation system process and software systems
  • Advise student organizations regarding program planning, interpretation of univeristy policy, and risk management, including consulting on indoor and outdoor events
  • Assist in special assignments and serve on Student Organizations, Dean of Students and Division of Student Affairs committees and teams as requested.
  • Other related functions as assigned
