About The Position

Job Summary: Assist the department with a variety of duties. A Graduate Assistant will gain essential work and educational experience needed to obtain full-time employment in their chosen field. These tasks are to be performed in a manner that professionally, cordially, and efficiently assists students, faculty, staff, and visitors. Description of Job Duties: Perform routine office duties. Assist with international admissions paperwork, including verifying and organizing required documentation for incoming students. Process new hire paperwork for international students employed on campus. Assist with updating expiring documentation. Become knowledgeable regarding campus services available to students and conduct appropriate referrals as needed. Assist with travel and transportation logistics for international student arrivals, departures, and mandatory events. Engage with SISA (Southwestern International Students Association), supporting events, meetings, and student involvement initiatives. Terms of Employment: Employment at will. Part-time, temporary position. Reports to the International Student Affairs Coordinator. Safety and job-related training will be completed as instructed. Eligible to receive a tuition waiver each semester and a stipend. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree completed.
  • Enrolled in graduate study program at SWOSU and working in field of study.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Cultural sensitivity and interest in supporting international students.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and be available for occasional transportation duties.
