The Graduate Assistant's responsibilities are divided into three main areas: Administrative Tasks The GA will be responsible for tracking and managing weekly and monthly administrative tasks for Resident Advisors (RAs). These tasks include, but are not limited to: Weekly emails Weekly reports Program proposals Program tracking forms Bulletin boards Door decorations Duty logs Case Management The GA will assist the RHD with low-level student cases, including: Roommate Conflicts: Mediating and resolving low-level roommate concerns such as hygiene, bedtimes, and cleaning schedules. Health and Safety Violations: Addressing and documenting minor health and safety violations. Policy Violations: Managing first-time violations of Residential Life policies. Student Care: Providing support to students who are struggling to find friends or a sense of community. Ad hoc Work The GA will also be responsible for various tasks as needed, including: Implementing and overseeing laundry protocols. Addressing low-level facility concerns. Inspecting rooms to ensure they are move-in ready or have been properly vacated. Partnering with campus partners to host events and programs.
