About The Position

The Mindess School is seeking a Grade 5 Long-Term Substitute Teacher for the 2025-2026 academic year. Anticipated start date is January 3, 2026 with the assignment concluding around May 18, 2026. Requirements

• Bachelor's degree required
• Degree in education preferred valid teaching license
• Prior teaching in upper elementary grades preferred
• Strong classroom management and communication skills
• Ability to build rapport with students and foster a positive, inclusive learning environment
• Flexibility, reliability, and a collaborative mindset

Responsibilities

• Creating an inclusive, engaging, and joyful classroom environment

• Supporting and maintaining classroom expectations, routines, and school-wide norms
