About The Position

The Government Property Specialist is responsible for managing, controlling, and reporting government‑owned property across the program lifecycle in compliance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 52.245‑1, DFARS, agency supplements, and company policies. This role ensures accountability, accuracy, and audit readiness for all Government‑Furnished Property (GFP), Contractor‑Acquired Property (CAP), and all assets subject to government oversight. The Specialist is responsible in overseeing inventory control and transactions and prepare reporting.

Requirements

  • Associate/Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business Administration, Logistics, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 2–5 years of experience in government property management, contracts, audit support, logistics, or related defense‑industry compliance fields.
  • Strong knowledge of FAR 52.245‑1, DCMA Guidebook, DFARS, and other federal property regulations.
  • Experience with property management systems and ERP tools (SAP, Costpoint, AMPS, or equivalent).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including ability to interact with DCMA/government auditors.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to interpret contractual requirements and apply regulatory guidance.

Nice To Haves

  • NPMA CPPS/CPPA/CPPM certification.
  • Experience supporting PMSA audits.
  • Background in defense manufacturing, aerospace, government contracting, or regulated asset management.
  • Knowledge of PIEE GFP Module, PCARSS, IUID standards, and serialization requirements.
  • Experience with Lean, process improvement, or internal control systems.
