About The Position

As a key member of the TrophyCatch team within the FWC’s Division of Freshwater Fisheries Management, this employee will provide customer support to the Florida angling community as well as administrative support for ateam that is passionate about recognizing anglers for participating in science and conserving trophy-sized Florida bass. As the coordinator for TrophyCatch events and prizing, this role requires someone who will provide exceptional customer service to a diverse stakeholder base as well as share a level of passion for fishing and conservation. The team member should also be able to accomplish broad-scale administrative tasks and duties to keep the program moving quickly. The team member will communicate with participants of the TrophyCatch and Big Catch programs via public phone calls and emails. The employee will be responsible for planning, coordinating, tracking, and attending statewide promotional outreach events, distributing program prizes, and ordering items that pertain to the program.

Requirements

  • A bachelor’s degree from a college or university and three years of professional experience in administrative work, systems analysis, management analysis, program planning, program research, program evaluation or engineering.
  • 4 years’ professional direct related experience can substitute for the required bachelor's degree; additional years of experience as described above are also required.
  • Employment in this position is contingent upon a satisfactory Level 1 background check at no cost to the candidate.

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office suite and Adobe
  • Skill in collecting, evaluating, and analyzing data such as for accounting, purchasing, inventory, prize and event tracking, and customer service requests
