About The Position

The Division of Water Resource Management’s (DWRM) Executive Services Program is accepting applications for a full-time career service Government Operations Consultant I, position #37001707. This professional position coordinates and responds to regulatory public records requests and correspondence control items for DWRM. A description of specific job duties can be found below. Serves as a central point of contact for the Office of Public Services, Office of General Counsel, Office of Technology and Information Services, the regulatory divisions and districts for coordination of public records requests. Responsible for fulfilling public records requests for the regulatory divisions and districts, as determined. Monitors the public records requests shared mailbox and responds to inquiries. Corresponds with requestors, prepares invoices for records and creates/clarifies email search term requests. Conducts research, including researching the department’s electronic document management system and various other program databases to ensure all documentation has been collected in response to public records requests. Receives, tracks, coordinates and assigns public records requests to the appropriate unit, enters necessary data into Salesforce. Conducts any follow-up necessary to ensure timely responses. Prepares responses and/or sends records to the requestor. Responsible for tracking and coordinating all correspondence control items for DWRM and conducts any follow-up necessary to ensure timely responses. Coordinates work assignments with others as needed, to ensure appropriate follow-up, review or response to public records requests. Prepares monthly reports and statistics on public records requests. Performs other duties as assigned or requested.   This position plays a critical role in assisting the regulatory programs in fulfilling public records requests. The work of this position crosses multiple program areas and divisions, which supplies excellent cross training opportunities and exposure to different programs within DWRM and the department.

  • Post-secondary degrees may be used as an alternative for the required years of experience on a year-for-year basis.
  • A credential evaluation report from an approved agency must be submitted along with all foreign degrees.
