About The Position

Our AmLaw 100 client is adding mid -level talent to its nationally recognized Government Contracts practice in Washington, D.C. This is a high -stakes practice advising major defense contractors, technology companies, and global institutions at the intersection of regulation, enforcement, and complex transactions. The group is deeply embedded in the federal marketplace and consistently handles matters that shape government procurement policy and enforcement priorities. You will work across the full lifecycle of government contracts matters, including: Counseling on regulatory compliance and risk management Litigating government contracts disputes Supporting M&A and corporate transactions involving government contractors Advising on suspension and debarment matters Handling False Claims Act and internal investigation work Bid protest experience is not required. This is a rare chance to step into one of the most visible government contracts platforms in the market. The practice is known for its integration with white collar, appellate, and corporate teams, offering exposure that few firms can replicate. Associates here work directly with senior lawyers on matters that draw agency, congressional, and press attention. Compensation is at the top of the market, with an annual base salary range of $365,000 to $420,000, plus performance -based bonuses and comprehensive benefits.

Requirements

  • JD class years 2018–2020
  • Meaningful experience in government contracts law
  • Background in disputes, investigations, or regulatory counseling preferred
  • Comfortable advising sophisticated clients with real exposure
  • Strong writing skills and sound judgment expected
