About The Position

A leading firm in this space is seeking a 2nd–5th year associate to join its Government Contracts team in Washington, DC.

This is a transactional and regulatory role advising sophisticated contractors and investors navigating federal procurement rules.

The practice sits within a broader white collar and investigations platform, giving you visibility into both transactional and enforcement risk.

Our AmLaw 100 client has a strong presence in DC and regularly advises major contractors, private equity sponsors, and strategic buyers in regulated industries.

You will gain early responsibility and hands -on exposure to deals where government contracts issues drive valuation and structure.

For associates who want to be more than a regulatory footnote in a transaction, this platform gives you a seat at the table.

Requirements

• 2–5 years of government contracts experience
• Exposure to M&A due diligence in the government contractor space
• Strong working knowledge of FAR and related regulations
• Clear, practical judgment when advising business teams
• Comfortable advising on live transactions and interacting with sophisticated in -house legal and compliance teams

Responsibilities

• Counsel clients on Government contracts compliance and regulatory strategy
• Counsel clients on M&A involving government contractors
• Counsel clients on Small business size -status issues
• Counsel clients on Domestic preference requirements and supply chain considerations
• Counsel clients on FAR and agency -specific procurement regulations
