About The Position

The US Army Capture Manager is responsible for leading the pursuit of qualified business opportunities, developing comprehensive capture strategies, developing the US Army Agency Plan and ensuring successful proposal development in alignment with company objectives. This role requires strong leadership, collaboration, and analytical skills to position the organization competitively in the market.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in capture management, business development, or a related field with a proven track record of securing contracts.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, IT, or a related field is required
  • Experience in capture for the Army domain is required
  • Previous experience in capture management specifically within the Army domain is required.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in developing capture plans and analysing market trends to shape strategies.

Nice To Haves

  • Possession of an advanced degree in a relevant field is preferred.
  • Veterans with Army experience are preferred.
  • Relevant certifications, such as Certified Capture Manager (CCM), are a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement comprehensive capture plans for agencies and opportunities, including win strategies, competitive analysis and client engagement plans
  • Define and articulate key win themes, discriminators, and value propositions tailored to specific client needs.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with key Army client stakeholders to influence procurement strategies and gather intelligence.
  • Engage with internal business development and capture team members, partners, and subcontractors to align all efforts with the capture strategy.
  • Conduct thorough market research and competitor analysis to identify Red Cedar and other organizations strengths and weaknesses, opportunities and threats.
  • Leverage insights and client interactions to position the organization as the preferred partner for targeted opportunities.
  • Identify and evaluate potential teaming partners, negotiate agreements and formalize partnerships through NDAs and Teaming Agreements (TA).
  • Collaborate with proposal managers, writers and solution architects to ensure capture strategies align with proposal content.
  • Provide guidance on technical and management approaches to strengthen the competitive edge of proposals.
  • Identify potential risks in the capture process and develop proactive mitigation strategies.
  • Track and report capture progress, milestones, and risks to the leadership team.
  • Conduct post-submission debriefs to gather lessons learned and improve future capture efforts.
