Works under the general direction of the assigned manager to supervise the operation of a nine-hole or eighteen-hole City golf facility. Supervises, interviews, hires, trains, and evaluates work performance of assigned golf facility staff and makes assignments to ensure work meets established standards. Supervises and maintains inventory of the golf shops and food and beverage departments. Assists with scheduling and conducting golf tournaments. Ensures that golf equipment and facility is available for daily operation and secured at closing. Ensures golf carts are stocked and functioning properly. Arranges tee times, special events, and monitors teeing rotations in a timely manner to accommodate participants. Assists assigned staff in displaying merchandise, providing quality service to golf patrons, cleaning and dusting displays and organizing the golf shop to generate revenue. Inspects condition of course and equipment and reports information to manager. Supervises and assists assigned staff with maintenance duties such as picking up trash, setting up driving ranges, and washing the golf carts. Maintains golf shop and food and beverage records and employee time sheets. Assists with overseeing clubhouse rentals for special events in order to generate revenue.
