What you will have an opportunity to do: Pursue your passion for golf course maintenance at The Golf Club at The Equinox Golf Resort & Spa, located in beautiful Manchester Village, Vermont. This scenic 1927 Walter Travis design was redesigned by Rees Jones in 1991. Currently the club is in Phase 4 of a restoration by Rees Jones including bunker renovation, tee renovation, drainage, and cart path improvements. The selected candidate will be mentored by the superintendent in all aspects of agronomy, leadership, and project management. Learn critical skills that will develop you into a high level turfgrass manager.

Requirements

  • Currently enrolled in (or recently graduated from) a turfgrass, horticulture, or related program
  • Positive attitude and desire to begin a career in golf turf management
  • Ability to lift, push, pull, and carry equipment, tools, or materials weighing up to 50 lbs regularly, and sometimes up to 100 lbs.
  • Constant walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, and reaching.
  • Ability to work early morning shifts, often starting before dawn.
  • Handling tools, operating mowers, tractors, and utility vehicles.
  • Working outdoors in heat, cold, rain, noise, and vibration.
  • Good vision and hearing (corrected) for safely operating machinery and identifying turf issues.

Nice To Haves

  • 1 season on a golf course or in landscape position preferred but not required
